Egypt 2008 Full 15 Day Tour
Day 1
Arrival to Cairo international airport.
Meet and assist through customs and immigration formalities.
Transfer to hotel for a traditional welcome, check in and brief rest.
Guide’s briefing on program and visits.
Visit the pyramids of Giza and the Sphinx.
Possibility of entry to Great Pyramid and/or the Solar Boat located beside the Great Pyramid. (OPTIONAL)
Lunch at a typical Egyptian Restaurant.
Possibility of attending Sound and Light show at the pyramids area. (OPTIONAL)
Back to the hotel for dinner and overnight.
Day 2
Breakfast at hotel.
Full day visit to the Citadel, Mohamed Ali's mosque, the Coptic area including St. Sergius church, the Hanging
Church and the Jewish Synagogue. After a panoramic view of the city of the dead, lunch will be served at the
Al Azhar Park restaurant overlooking Old Cairo and the Mamluk mosques.
Back to hotel for short rest.
Transfer to an Essence Parlour for Egyptian perfume and natural essential oils, followed by a healing session
with an Egyptian Reiki Master. Private healings can be arranged.
Back to the hotel for dinner and overnight.
Day 3
Breakfast at hotel.
Pack an overnight bag to take on the safari trip. Remaining luggage to be packed and left at the hotel until return from desert.
Early morning drive to the Bahareya Oasis where we will have lunch at the Qasr El Bawity Hotel & Restaurant.
Continue our desert safari trip to the White Desert, where we will camp the night.
Dinner will be served in the tent, followed by a local Bedouin Show.
Day 4
Breakfast at camp site. We will then start our way back to Cairo stopping by the Black Desert, Crystal
Mountain, El Agabat.
Check into hotel. Dinner and overnight.
Day 5
Buffet breakfast at hotel.
Transfer to Alexandria by road.
Upon arrival, visit the Catacumbs, Pompey's pillar, and the Roman theatre and the Alexandrian library.
Lunch at San Giovanni restaurant.
After lunch visit King Faruk's gardens, the Qaitbay Citadel
Transfer back to Cairo.
Check into hotel. Dinner and overnight.
Day 6
Breakfast at hotel.
Early morning transfer direct to Cairo airport for our flight to Luxor – (55 mins)
On arrival, visit Luxor temple.
Visit a local Papyrus gallery to see a demonstration of the ancient way of making Egyptian Papyrus.
Transfer to hotel for rest of day at leisure to relax by the pool and enjoy the views.
Free afternoon at leisure.
Dinner and overnight.
Day 7
After breakfast, we transfer by bus with convoy passing through Nag Hammadi, which is an important
agricultural centre, otherwise known for its past association with Gnostic Gospels.
Our destination will be Abydos, one of Egypt’s most spellbinding spots. Here we will visit the temple of
Seti I, which is one of the best-preserved temples in Egypt and the home of Omm Seti until her death in 1981.
We will continue our tour to Dendera, where we will visit the temple of Hathor, the goddess of love and
beauty.
After our sightseeing and enjoying the stories associated with this ancient temple, we will transfer
back to the hotel.
Dinner and overnight.
Day 8
Buffet breakfast at hotel
Possibility of enjoying a balloon ride over the West Bank monuments. (OPTIONAL)
Transfer to the West Bank to visit the Valley of the Kings and the Valley of the Queens.
Continue visiting the temple of Queen Hatshepsut and Medinet Habu temple.
Transfer to the cruise ship for check in and lunch.
Visit Karnak temple, including a meditation session at Goddess Sekhmet’s chapel for those who would like
to participate.
Afternoon tea served on sundeck.
Possibility of an evening horse carriage ride to a typical Luxor Souk, includes drink and water pipe at
local café. (OPTIONAL)
Dinner and overnight on board in Luxor.
Day 9
Buffet breakfast on cruise ship.
Start sailing towards Esna Lock.
Lunch on board the ship.
Pass the Lock and continue sailing to Edfu.
Dinner and overnight in Edfu
Day 10
Buffet breakfast on cruise ship.
Departure by horse carriages to visit the temple of God Horus in Edfu.
Upon return, continue sailing to Kom Ombo.
Lunch served on board.
Upon arrival, (walking distance 5 minutes) visit the temple of Kom Ombo and continue sailing to Aswan.
Afternoon tea served on sundeck.
Tonight is party night on board our cruise ship is fancy dress. Gallabayah’s can be purchased in the
markets or on board.
Dinner and overnight in Aswan.
Day 11
Buffet breakfast on cruise ship.
Early morning visit by motorboat to the Isle of Philae to visit the temple of Goddess Isis. Continue
to the Unfinished Obelisk, granite quarries and the Aswan High Dam.
Back to the ship for lunch.
Afternoon Felucca ride to visit the Botanical garden, continue by motorboat to a Nubian village.
Back to the ship.
Dinner and overnight.
Day 12
Check out and transfer to airport for flight to Abu Simbel.
Upon arrival, visit the temples of Rameses II and his favourite wife Nefertari.
Transfer to hotel for rest or a swim in the hotel pool.
Evening transfer to attend the Sound and Light show.
Back to the hotel for dinner and overnight.
Day 13
Buffet breakfast at the hotel.
Check out of hotel.
Transfer to the airport for flight to Cairo via Aswan.
Check into the hotel for dinner and overnight.
Day 14
Buffet breakfast at the hotel.
Continue visit to the necropolis of Sakkara, the site of the ancient city of Memphis and the Great pyramid
of Dahshur.
Lunch at local restaurant.
Visit to the Egyptian museum of antiquities, and scroll through the famous Tutankamun’s treasures, Akhnaton’s
hall, Old and Middle Kingdom halls, as well as the hall of the recent acquisitions. Possibility to visit to
the Mummies room upon request. (OPTIONAL)
Followed by a trip to the famous Khan El Khallili Bazaar for shopping.
Dinner and overnight.
Day 15
Buffet breakfast at hotel.
Transfer to Cairo Airport for international flight.
